Due to continued financial growth, a globally recognised Transportation & Logistics client are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer, who will serve as the SME for the Google Cloud Platform. You will be in the office once a week in Charlotte, so will ideally be based within a commutable distance.

Please note that this position is FTE and at this stage they are unable to sponsor visas.Writes scripts/code to support our platform, including developing Terraform/Docker files for various systems/frameworks.Provides technical support, resolving complex platform use and configuration issues.

Offers feedback to project teams on platform usage; supports routine monitoring activities.Advises developers on system usage and configures CI/CD pipelines.Collaborates with developers to ensure adherence to established processes and smooth functioning through deployment pipelines from development to production in a cloud-based environment.

Builds robust automated delivery tooling for product teams, providing input and expertise into tool selection and ongoing improvements in Pipelining, CI/CD, Automation, and Monitoring.Engages in code development and review.Reviews code, troubleshoots, and executes virtualization and integration strategies while prioritizing security, reliability, and scalability, following appropriate standards and policies, utilizing a variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.

Develops applications/tools/services and features, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation in technology services.Develops assets, ensuring all components are up-to-date, driving cloud adoption and incorporating technical improvements into the overall product backlog.Utilizes automation design and infrastructure knowledge to determine appropriate automation and implement large-scale sustainable, intelligent automation in a cross-functional environment.

Educated to minimum of degree level in engineering, computer science or related technology disciplineMinimum 6 years' experience as a DevOps, software or SRE engineerGCP certifications(s) or equivalent highly regarded.Experience implementing configuration management and CI/CD toolingExperience with Kubernetes/docker or similar containerisationExperience with languages such as Python, Groovy, Bash, JavaDiscipline(s): TechnologyJob type: Permanent.
