This role will report to the Director, CRM and Data Solutions Strategy and will own data and analytics solutions to facilitate decision making for US Sales and Market Access Commercial business units. In this role, you will be responsible for all technical design and development of analytics solutions enabling data management, accessibility, and visualizations.This opportunity is based at Kite's HQ in Santa Monica, CA but a remote arrangement may be considered, and include travel to HQ (2-3X per quarter).
Key Responsibilities:Own the design and development of data solutions for US Kite Sales and Market Access Commercial business usersAccountable for design and development of data solutions including reporting and data definitionDefine requirements for the reporting layer logic to combine source data for Commercial metricsBusiness owner of the KPI calculations and data definitionsDrive product roadmap and delivery for sales and market access reporting with input from Sales AnalyticsTranslate business insights needs to analytics solutions and initiatives with technology platforms that enable commercial excellenceDesign visualization formats to draw insights from dataLead roll out of data solutions through training and communication plansDefine and manage data access and roles for visibility to metrics and dataHands on data manipulation and visualization creation for rapid prototypes of reports/dashboards using analytics software (Tableau, Qlik, ThoughtSpot, Alteryx, etc.)Partner with source system Business Process Owners to gain deep knowledge on source data attributes and their relationships to other data sets.Create actionable reports/dashboards that enable end users to make decisionsGather and author clear and concise requirements and design documentation for development and sustainment of automated analytics solutionsUse internal and vendor partner delivery teams to enable solutionsAuthor documentation that facilitates hand off to automate visualizations with operations teamExperience and knowledge of managing Claims data setsCore ResponsibilitiesLead brainstorming and solution work sessions with stakeholders and partner teamsLead the interaction with end users to gather requirements/metrics and communicate value of data solutionsEnsures operational support needs and downstream implications are addressed when developing solutionsFacilitate continuous productivity by identifying opportunities to create accelerators, re-useable components, or processes, and deliver improvementsProvide creative solutions to complex issues where fundamental principles do not clearly apply or where data appears to conflictEmploy project management and business analysis practices to facilitate solutions forward within budget, scope, and timelines.
Up to 20% travelBasic QualificationsDoctorate ORMaster's Degree and 6+ years of experience ORBachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience ORHigh School Diploma/GED and 12+ years of experiencePreferred QualificationsDeep understanding of data management technology platforms/solutions (data warehousing/ETL/systems integration)Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry functions and use of commercially related data to provide value to the organizationThorough understanding of Pharmaceutical/healthcare Data sets, including claims, master data, sales, etc.Deep understanding of data democratization practicesDeep understanding of visualization resourcesDeep experience with manipulating data and identifying data trendsDeep experience implementing solutions across technologies (SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, AWS, etc.)Experience with business/company harmonization a plusProfessional experience in life sciences, consulting, or modern data technologyHighly developed critical thinking, problem-solving, change management and consulting skillsProactive approach to meeting business needs and identifying business opportunitiesExcellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skillsAbility to work and achieve objectives independently as well as part of a teamExperience with project management, change management and agile principles.
Ability to manage shifting priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well cross-functionally in a diverse, inclusive environmentThe salary range for this position is: $150,535.00 - $194,810.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
