Working in small cross-functional teams, you'll work in an agile environment that values code quality, learning quickly, and personal growth through collaboration and challenge.You will collaborate with front end, back end, data science, infrastructure, and machine learning engineers to collectively improve the state of engineering at Nextdoor. All engineers are invited to join co-ops to facilitate continuous modernization and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Bring to The Team6+ years of Software Development experienceExpertise in modern JavaScript/ReactExpertise in at least one server-side web application language.

Python/Django, Java, and SQL experience is a plusExperience within the AWS ecosystem preferredAbility to design and implement heavily used services and systemsStrong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong desire to learn new technologiesAbility to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic startup environmentAbility to mentor junior engineers across teamsParticipate in in-person Nextdoor events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and other team building exercisesBuild in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor valuesRewardsCompensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package. The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $153,000 to $212,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.

We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date. Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
