Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDISH is seeking a highly skilled SRE Infrastructure Manager to join our DT Sling department.Key Responsibilities:Lead a highly technical team through the transformation journey from traditional Infrastructure to multi-cloud setup, using industry standards and best practices for Cloud, SRE, and Security, with a variety of tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies.Drive service improvement plans (Performance, Business Continuity, Scalability, Capacity, Extensibility, Reliability, Usability, and Availability of the platform).

Improve user experience, and performance of the on-prem infrastructure to meet cloud standards.Responsible for the overall strategy, planning, delivery, and support of complex multi-cloud infrastructure services, ensuring services are delivering value to the DISH engineering teams and to end customers.Recruiting/mentoring/coaching/career development team members to help them be more effective - productive.

Oversee the quality of the infrastructure and products throughout the entire Operation life-cycle.Driving a customer-centric, highly personalized approach to maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure platforms hosting massive, complex systems for performance, security, reliability, and scalability.Leverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery, and continuous improvement and eliminate impediments and roadblocks.

Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and other operational directors to create and maintain a supportable road map.Study emerging technologies, analyze build vs buy; evaluate vendors, track/drive road maps.Additional Responsibilities:Innovation and Roadmap:Roadmap: Analyzing users' needs and then finding capabilities, services, or offerings to serve them.

Encourage teams to think out of the box and innovate.Introducing the team to industry trends - practices. Build an inspired and empowered global engineering team with a product mindset:Global team culture: Maintain cohesiveness amongst the global team.

Team engagement to make them feel part of a larger team and bring cohesiveness across the geography.Plan Demos, KT, and Brown Bag sessions for the specific stream, larger platform team, and customer-engineering teams.Team Structure - Ensure the right Skills are available across all regions:Plan and maintain optimal the Skill and Resource (Partner-Perm) Mix.

Skill Upliftment - Skill Tracking and upliftment plan to be handled.Maximize the productivity of people.Development and Retention of people.

Optimize the cost of ownership without impacting the delivery SLO, or customer experience. Smooth Day-to-Day operation: Ensuring QoS commitments are adhered to and SLO commitments are met:Responsible for managing 24x7 Ops.Ticket-based delivery for ease of tracking and reporting.

Definition and Adherence to the SLO & Delivery commitments.Plan the team discussions, standups, reviews, and calls to accommodate the global team structure.Coordinate with Vendors for evaluating/deploying new IT Solutions/Products.

Audit and Compliance: Ensure adherence to the policies, guidelines, and mandatory requirements.Conducting security audits to identify areas of improvement.Governance:Working with TPO and Delivery manager to address queries of the customer.Ensure CSAT.

Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Master's Degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience.Experience: 10+ years of Infrastructure operations support experience (with 6+ in a large enterprise with Multi-Cloud).Skills and Qualifications:For architects additional exposure in design, managing cloud infrastructure, re-architecting the DC environment to synergies with AWS cloud, and modernising the NW landscape is required.

Industry certifications on AWS, Network, Data Center, and Security is an added advantage.Managing to lead a team of 5 or more principal engineers, Architects are preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and managers.Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced team members.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
