You will be responsible for directing a small team of developers to add new capabilities within the current and new applications. Your primary focus will be assisting with crafting the best solution design that promotes development efficiencies, promotes consistency across the solution and promotes a great user experience, providing sizing and communicating the direction to the development team.

This includes working with the Sr. Developer to collaborate on solution design decisions. You will be working with developers, administrators, functional analysts and the product owners.

A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential!The purpose of the ODNI's Luke contract, is to provide dev ops, applied technology investigations, operations and maintenance and infrastructure lifecycle support services across the ODNI's enterprise. Our support in Bethesda includes software engineering/development, O&M, technology investigations, customer advocacy, business process engineering, and system design. What You'll Get to Do:Deliver incredible solutions to solve difficult national security problems.

Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.Engineer elegant solutions to complex problems with an emphasis on code readability, maintainability, and flexibility.Participating in standup, backlog grooming, demos, and other Scrum meetingsCollaborating with engineers on your team on feature development and bug fixesBeing a champion of the customers voice to ensure our products are built with customer empathy at the forefrontPromoting engineering best practices within your team to ensure quality, stability, performance, resiliency, and maintainability of your softwareServe as the Technical Expert as its related cloud hosting and software development mattersRequired Qualifications:TS/SCI PolygraphBA/BS degree in a related scientific field (Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics. etc.

)Experience building complex software systems utilizing Java, Angular, Python, and Spring BootExperience with version control systems using GitKnowledge of software development lifecycle best practices (coding standards, code review, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations)AWS/C2S cloud development experienceExperience with AWS/C2S services that are available in the ICExperience in the design and/or development of web-based notification systemsExperience with software systems development in the IC communityAssists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing toolsThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Experience working on an agile development teamExperience working with JIRA.Experience using container technologies such as Docker, Kubernettes, Podman, Buildah, or OpenshiftExperience with 508 ComplianceExperience with DevSecOps practicesExperience incorporating Test Driven Development MA/MS degree in a related scientific field (Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics. etc.)5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist on related programs and projects.

Extensive experience supporting cloud-based environments at various classification levelsExperience with extract, transform, load (ETL) techniques3+ years' experience using VBA, PowerShell, and or .NET to automate the correction of spreadsheets as a component of an ETL system Demonstrated experience with programming languages (such as Python, SQL, C/C+, JAVA, and Perl)3+ years' experience with data aggregation and visualization tools such as Tableau and or Power BI to facilitate stakeholder decision making and trend analysis2-5 years of experience with data science using statistical languages such as R to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.Knowledge of statistical techniques and conceptsExperience manipulating data sets and building statistical modelsExperience with MS Office applications like Excel and Access Db.
