Our Fortune 500 direct client is hiring for an experienced ETL tester. Experience with Hadoop testing is preferred, but not required.



Required Skills & Experience:
Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and architecture.
Author test plans for various data and analytics projects, with a focus on Hadoop, Microsoft Parallel Data Warehouse, and SQL server.
Experience with SSIS or other ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools.
Strong Lead Level experience with SQL and stored procedure testing with the ability to write SQL queries for testing purposes (eg staging test data).
Experience with UNIX and Windows platforms from a testing/development perspective.


Preferred experience:
Experience with Hadoop & PDW testing is a plus, but not required.
C#/.NET or similar (ie Java) programming experience highly preferred. As noted below, this role will help with designing test harnesses, responders, and other testing tools/utilities, so a programming background is a plus.
Additional platform support and position activities include:
Influencing test management, test design, and test strategy.
Leading testers on projects that include a wide variety of technologies supporting mobile, web and Back End systems (,,, Mobile, UBI, Agent Bill, Agent Download, DDB and more).
Working closely with Testing Transformation in adapting the new test methodology (ie risk-based testing). (Please note: ideal candidates will have experience in leading/implementing change with testing process and methodologies.)
Supporting developmental testing strategy for the Agent Service/Web Presence organization; includes helping with test harness designs, responders, and tools/utilities.
Providing testing leadership in design reviews, code reviews, and test reviews.
Analyzing trends in data and make recommendations for improvements.
Due to the nature of the work, ideal candidates will have experience quickly adapting and assimilating to technologies and teams. Therefore, superior leadership and soft-skills (ie communications and collaboration) are required.
