Core Systems

Facilitate the achievement of obtaining optimal business value (efficiency and effectiveness) out of the resources utilized for the FIS Core System, including capital, technology, and staff. Responsible for eliciting the actual needs of the stakeholders, analyzing business requirements, identifying business opportunities, preparing documentation and evaluating risk. Ensure assigned applications work reliably for the business and are kept current per the vendor requirements; maintain, troubleshoot, and support systems daily. Ability to exercise independent judgment under a minimum of supervision.

In this position, you will:

  • Ensure the assigned banking applications are fully utilizing the feature/functionality and that processes are efficient.
  • Responsible for evaluating product offerings and potential enhancements and identifying the feasibility, business value proposition, and/or the benefits to be gained. Make a recommendation to team with rationale.
  • Participate on projects as needed (system upgrades, bank integrations, etc.). Collaborate with other departments to facilitate implementations and fulfill the initiative purpose through standard practice project management. Ensure all Core System aspects of the project is completed:
    • Document Requirements
    • Analysis/options or feasibility research of needs and possible solutions
    • Identifying technology and/or business solutions
    • Develop testing scripts & execute test plan to mitigate deployment risk
    • Recommend solutions as applicable
    • Implement (Identify issues and escalate/manage resolution as required)
    • Develop supporting documentation (process/procedure manuals)
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery Application Testing
  • Ensure all application changes follow the standard process while keeping exceptions to a minimum.

To be considered, you will need:

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in business or related field, and a minimum of (3) years of experience in an application/business/systems analyst/project coordinator, or finance role in a financial industry environment. Sufficient Experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Desirable Education/Experience: 5 year's experience is preferred for incumbents responsible for most complex duties.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance related to area of responsibility (AML/BSA/etc). Keeps updated on changes to banking environment, bank competition and customer's business environment applicable to area of responsibility.
  • Conducts analysis on work procedures, business results, and recommends changes to improve the effectiveness.

  • Strong Fluency in Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Expertise in Metavante Insight, Foxtrot

  • Strong Database Management Skills

  • Capability to learn quickly and achieve proficiency in new software applications as needed.
