As the IT Inventory Specialist, you are part of an IT Team striving to deliver amazing end-user experiences through excellence in every phase of service delivery. You are responsible for ensuring optimal operation of our end-point supply chain enabling CommScope employees to onboard faster, be more productive, and making them smile. You will collaborate with other teams in finance, across areas of the business, and with the broader IT organization to ensure CommScope maximizes the value of its assets across the end-user community. You'll be essential to discovering user and business process pain points or needs, as well as assisting in the design, test, iteration of potential solutions, oversee solution implementation and manage the lifecycle of the capability. With more than 19,000 knowledge workers and over 40,000 devices, this role is well-positioned to make a big impact. This position can be located in Joliet, IL, Richardson, TX, Hickory, NC or Suwanee, GA.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in the execution and oversight of tasks relating to inventory management of end-user devices (PCs, Macs, Phones, peripherals, etc.)
  • In partnership with local support and the ServiceNow team, ensure accuracy of physical and virtual stockrooms and proper execution of related inventory and CMDB practices
  • Ensure proper lifecycle management of end-user assets to maximize the value
  • Assist in setting device standards and making determinations of fitness for service
  • Make decisions about inventory allocation, re-issue vs buy, and other related inventory management solutions
  • Be a critical partner in the CommScope onboarding experience ensuring new employees have what they need to begin work on day 1.
  • Maintain a diverse technological skill set to connect the dots across functions and provide expertise as a solution and service delivery COE
  • Process orders/ticket queue in accordance with business requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 5+ years experience or Associates degree with 3 years experience or Bachelor degree with at least 1 year experience with inventory management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present, interact, and collaborate with peers, internal customers, and IT leaders
  • Interest in and understanding of technology
  • Ability to analyze, refine, and implement processes with appropriate metrics and control measures

Preferred

  • Experience modeling demand and appropriately calculating inventory levels
  • ITIL certifications
  • Experience working in a global environment
  • Experience managing inventory and using purchasing systems
