The US Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms seeks a Chief Information Officer. This is executive level work representing the Sergeant at Arms and managing a staff of professionals on highly responsible matters involving information technology, telecommunications, and information security. The Assistant Sergeant at Arms/Chief Information Officer (CIO) works with the Sergeant at Arms on a wide variety of information systems issues, ensuring that information passes along an established chain of command.

The CIO leads the building and managing of the infrastructure, technologies, and digital data. The role promotes the development of the next generation technologies and platforms that support digital transformation, provides interoperability throughout the product portfolio, and continually adapts IT ?'s processes and skill sets to ongoing changes in the technology and business landscape. Work also includes planning, organizing and coordinating the development of policies, procedures, and action plans. The incumbent performs the work under the direction of the Sergeant at Arms. Work requires a Bachelor ?'s Degree in information technology or a related field, and five to eight years of senior or executive management experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires ability to obtain a top secret security clearance.

Salary up to $169,459 based upon experience.
