Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us.Senior Manager, Imaging Data Systems Position Summary:We are seeking a passionate Imaging Data Systems,Senior Manager to design, build and manage the lifecycle of digital capabilities that enables BMS scientists in the Translational Medicine and TRCs to discover and develop innovative medicines. The Imaging Data Systems,Senior Manager will be accountable for the Build and Run of production capabilities supporting TM.

This role will partner with IT business partners, scientists, other internal IT service teams, outsourcing partners, and vendors to define, prioritize, plan, build, delivery and support.This includes the high priority digital radiology and pathology imaging capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Define strategic technology roadmaps, develop solution proposals, contribute to project business cases, and estimate budgets for new IT capabilitiesDevelop solution architectures for new capabilities ensuring they satisfy business needs, are appropriately aligned with BMS architecture and industry standards, and are engineered to be reliable, cost effective, scalable, and sustainable throughout the expected lifecycleLead the technical delivery for new capability projects including architecture, design, development, testing, integration, and deploymentDrive innovation by advising project teams and stakeholders on the external technology landscape both within the biopharmaceutical Industry and beyond, evaluating new technologies, supporting POCs/prototype, and participating in the development of new capabilities and service offerings including AWS, DevOps, Agile development, and leading-edge scientific technologiesOwn the end-to-end responsibility for managing Digital Capabilities though their lifecycle ensuring they are reliable, accessible, and secureManaging service delivery of internal and external providers, Influence vendor roadmaps to align with BMS strategyFinancial management with a focus on identification and implementation of improvements to reduce operating costsSome tier 2 and tier 3 technical support (triage, break/fix, solution design, delegation of implementation)Qualifications:BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience in life science ITAt least 8 years of progressive information technology experience, with responsibility for solution architecture and implementation on large scale projects.

Must have demonstrated success delivering complex application systems, services-based application integration, reporting and analytics, and supporting infrastructure. Agile software development, automated testing, and DevOps experience is preferredStrong expertise in digital radiology and digital pathology technologies. Technical leadership skills on scientific imaging capabilities and related integrations.

Examples include EICON, Compass, MIMS, Imaging tracking, Concentriq, and Invicro. Hand on development experience with DICOM, imaging APIs, .Net/C#, Java, REST, XML, SQL, MySQL, ORACLE and LINUX.

Strong technical skills in architecture principles, modern web technologies stack, microservice architecture, AWS technologies, database design, data integration and web servicesWorking knowledge of software development life cycles, configuration management and best software engineering practicesExcellent technical leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively with partners across matrix organizations, including service providers and vendor engineersKnowledge of systems of records related to biopharma research operations, scientific workflows, and biomarker platformsExperience implementing scientific digital capabilities including biomarkers systems, imaging meta data, biospecimens, workflow automation, imaging data machine learning, clinical and molecular data analysis is highly preferred Experience with computer system validation in a regulated environment is a strong plus.
